I cant handle DC..............

Or flying. I had the worst plane rides yesterday. First we braved the interstate and that almost gave me a heart attack. We got the rental car back by 1pm and let the shuttle take us to the airport. We had a 4 hour wait until our plane left but I didnt care. We had lunch and shopped and Alan snoozed on my shoulder and we relaxed. Which I thoroughly needed because the plane ride was SOOOO bumpy. I was freaking quietly in my chair! Alan kept telling me to relax but seeing the seatbelt light on for 4 hours doesnt help.
And the ride from SLC to home was less than an hour but OMG!!!! How do stewardess do it? And with a smile!! I almost cried with relief when we walked off the plane and I was finally home! We went straight to the grandparents house to get the kids and the dog and it was 1am before we got to sleep.
I just got done grocery shopping and now its time for a nap.

Off to D.C. in two weeks.......

Hubby worked in D.C. last summer installing a security system for a company and they want him back to do the entire 59 acres. And I get to go for the initial trip!We need to do a walk around and make notes and figure out what local companies to hire. But we are also going to spend a day at The Holocaust Museum and The Washington Zoo. The kids are staying home with the Grandparents. I know, its kinds not fair to them, but it makes me feel better knowing we arent all on the same airplane!
I'm still scared about flying. After 3 hours I get claustrophobic and on one flight we dont get to sit next to each other. He'll be sitting a row ahead of me. But I'll take my fully loaded iRiver, a new book and a journal so I'll make do.

Saturday at last..........

The school carnival is OVER! It was last night and it went well. I won three items from the raffle and my son won one. I won an Albertsons gift card, a Body Shop gift basket and a gift certificate to Idaho Pizza Company(they worked the carnival last night and they were a HUGE hit! We decided that hot dogs and nachos were nasty and this was our first year selling pizza and it is a keeper!). My son won a gourmet food basket with a white chocolate raspberry cheesecake so he's on cloud 9. Today is all about family. I skipped work to clean the house. I had to make a spider cake and a cookie monster cake yesterday and my kitchen is in a sad state. But this afternoon we are going to see "Meet the Robinsons" and then out to Red Lobster. The kids are so excited! And yeah, I'm looking forward to sitting around while other people take care of me. Monday at 1pm we are meeting to open the cash boxes and see how much money we made. All the carnival ticket sales go to the teachers and all the raffle/silent auction ticket sales go to the PTO.

Finally have a day off........

One of my husbands employees works nights for QWEST. He had to have some hernia surgery and I guess QWEST pays 8-12 weeks full medical pay leave. So he's soaking it for all he can. Which means the past month I've been working everyday. Which sucks. But today I have off and I'm glad. Cause I think that awful cold is back and I need to run to Costco, Target and Petco before 1pm. Oh, and I still need to shower.

This week sucks...

Its only Tuesday and already I wish the week were over and it was Monday again. Skip Sunday and take me to next Monday. Let me sit on my couch a day early and sip my Diet lime Pepsi and watch my Housewives of Orange County in peace. So I can yell at the TV and tell Jo what a spoiled biotch she is and Slade to smarten up because she's using him. And George dear, Laurie doesnt love you. She loves the new car, the trip to Europe, the trip to Hawaii, the endless clothes. Of course she's gonna say she loves you....it makes you run out and buy her more stuff. But Jeana, theres a smart cookie. Rotten kids(except for the youngest) and usually gets her way.
Its been snowing lately. Where does it say its suppose to snow in February? I hate snow. Its so fricken cold it sucks.
Month end at work tomorrow and statements the next day. I hate statement day. Takes forever to get things done and everyone is in a foul mood.

A nice Saturday!

Didnt have to go to work today. So I took my time this morning and it felt good. I've cleaned house, hit my sons bedroom, am on my 4th load of wash(all the sheets and blankets went thru a cycle) and made a batch of chocolate chip cookies. And it has been so nice today I have a couple windows open for a breeze and fresh air and its still 74 degrees in here. In awhile I'll sit down and read and then hit the grocery store for bread and milk. Domestic goddess is my new name.

Headache from Hell.........

Theres a limit to how much Tylenol ES I can take so why wont this bugger leave? And the sun is out this afternoon but hubby built a fire this morning and now the house is a blistering 77 degrees and that doesnt help with my head pain. I'm cranky and hot and OTR and in desperate need of a nap. Daughter was up most of the night coughing and I was her everything and after she threw up at 6am something I just stayed up. I opened a window to get a cool breeze and I know I'll regret it at 8pm tonight when its freezing again but right now, I dont care!
